I only know I need to file A4 documents — where do I start?

Start with three questions: is it long-term archiving, frequent browsing, or carrying around? Fixed page counts, or growing? Any need for punching, sectioning, or display? A4 is a 210 × 297 mm paper size; the product still adds edges, the binding mechanism, the spine, and opening space, so outside dimensions differ by product. Fixed sorting suits display books; swapping and re-ordering suits ring binders; small carried sets can start from document sleeves or folders.

What do “20 pockets” and “40 pockets” mean in a display book?

The count usually means the number of bound-in pocket pages, not a promised sheet total. How many sheets go into each pocket affects flatness, turning feel, and overall thickness — judge by the specific product, paper weight, and real use.

What separates a display book from a ring binder?

A display book’s pockets are fixed to the body — open and browse; a ring binder opens its mechanism to add, remove, and reorder pages, but needs punched documents or compatible refills. More on holes and capacity in document size, hole pattern and capacity.

What should a first bulk inquiry include?

For a first inquiry, send three essentials: a product reference — photos, a product link, a physical sample, a dimensioned drawing, or a written specification; the estimated quantity for each specification, color, or packaging version; and the required ship or arrival date. Original packaging or repacking, the delivery place, and whether you need a quotation sheet or product data can be confirmed before ordering; full preparation is in bulk purchasing, export and OEM / ODM.

How are minimum quantities and timing confirmed?

Established products, printing on established constructions, specified colors, custom packaging, and new ODM development run under different conditions — minimums are evaluated separately against materials, processing, changeovers, and packaging. Send the product reference and the quantity per specification and color; we will confirm the applicable minimum and timing for that inquiry. For adaptation or ODM development, we will identify the additional specification and production conditions required before confirming minimums and timing.

Can I get samples first? Will production match the sample?

Samples may be available depending on the product and project. Tell us which type of sample you need — a standard product sample, a function sample, a print sample, or a submission set — and we will confirm availability, charges, shipping and timing. Approved samples and the formal specification are the basis for production, and the acceptance methods for materials, colors, and processing are agreed before ordering, against the specification, color swatches, or samples confirmed by both sides.

How long does a custom order take?

Lead time depends on how complete the specification is, plus artwork, sampling, colors, materials, processing, packaging, testing, quantity, and current scheduling. In your inquiry, say whether the date you need is the ship date, the arrival date at a nominated place, or the acceptance date, and we will confirm the schedule against the conditions of the project.

How are third-party test reports handled? Can one report cover a series?

Where required, selected products or project samples are submitted for third-party testing. Available reports are retained for the tested item and scope. The date, test items and scope are those stated in the report. A report applies only to the identified sample and test items; it does not cover every model, color or production batch.

Where are LAN CHYN products made?

The LAN CHYN brand dates back to 1976. For LAN CHYN’s main standard PP products, PP sheet extrusion, sheet cutting, die-cutting and final assembly are carried out in Taiwan on our own production lines, under our product specifications and production controls; metal fittings, inner pages, paper components, printing, and packaging materials are configured according to each model or project specification. The formal origin of a specific product follows its labeling and the confirmation records of that quotation or project.

Can you support tenders and market-specific documentation?

Given the specifications, quantities, sample deadlines and delivery terms, we can confirm established products, adaptation scope, quotations, samples, and the product documentation actually available. Name the market, the standard name and version, test items, and document format at the inquiry stage; bidder eligibility, acceptance of equivalent products, and document validity must be confirmed by the bidder with the procuring or tendering authority under the tender documents.

How are PP products sorted for disposal?

Most LAN CHYN products use polypropylene (PP), identified by resin identification code 5, as the main body material. This code identifies the resin; local acceptance for recycling varies. Where components such as metal fittings, paper parts or labels can be safely separated, sort them according to local requirements; otherwise follow local guidance for the assembled product.

There is a quantity, print, or quality issue with received goods. What should I send?

Retain the affected goods, inner and outer packaging, labels, and carton markings. Send the purchase order, quotation, invoice, or project reference; the received and affected quantities; carton or lot information; overall and close-up photographs; and a short video where function or handling is relevant.
